Days 45 - 46 ~ STONE cold FACES

Ending a great time in Colorado and on to explore South Dakota

The map is starting to fill up, cute picture Tabi did for us!

Filling in quick, two more this week

We stayed at this Bison Ranch for 3 days

Look Amanda, a Hillsdale in Nebraska.

More strange shapes on the side of the road

The RV park we left the RV at while we took the Mini to Mt. Rushmore

Typical sight in Nebraska

Interesting...

Old vehicles planted on-end

other vehicles supported in the air

Nice benches

but not very comfortable

They are really into the Big 10 in Nebraska, especially when they play Michigan

We thought these were huge potatoes but we're told they are sugar beets

We have seen quite a few of these trucks down here, they must be popular with the farmers

Finally made it to South Dakota

Went through Hot Springs on the way to Mt. Rushmore

Even saw a few waterfalls along the way

and a few caves

and a few Bison, this one was a little blue  hehehe

and Pronghorn Antelope

and prairie dogs

and some more Bison

and some deer, the Mommie and Baby looked like statues

The largest monument carving project in the world

It's eventually going to look like Crazy Horse.

Now that is a lot of granite

Da Boys

This was pretty amazing

We saw this at 5:00pm the sun was going down

Every state was represented (see bottom right)

We had to come back at night to see it lit up.
