Day 11-14 ~ Montana is a really long state

Long drive across the middle of the state.  We stopped at the beginning of the state and near the end at The Glacier National Park where we had a hairy drive through the curves and steep mountains in the RV; but Dan didn't have any trouble, it was me in the passenger seat . . . hehehe

They like to write on the side of hills (Home on the Range)

Had to follow this little truck for several miles and were surprised by its length when it finally turn off

Crazy LONG LOAD of hay...and why would anyone truck it so far when we passed tons of hay fields with these rolls all over

A lot of flatness A lot of hay

Montana had horses everywhere and so pretty

and L O N G    Straight Roads

So this is what you do with hay from last year your animals didn't eat?...and with all the Wild Fires ... crazy

The beginning of Glacier National Park

Train !

A Wall of Trees

Colors starting to change

Clear & Deep

The lakes were calm & reflective

It was beautiful weather to see glaciers in

Old tour buses they shuttle you around in

Now that's a unique phone booth; right Britt?

The first lodge that was built in 1909 at the park.

Right there...

There are some huge trees in the park as well.

We saw more animals inside the lodge than outside.

and huge fireplaces

I think her roots are showing..

A little waterfall...

Big trees

Big roots

The Mini has been a great car to take it all in

I thought this mural looked good on this building in this old town.

No rest for the weary..

waxin cars...

building fires...

makin 'smores.

Day 2 in Glacier

This waterfall just flowed out of  the mountain

And they say "you can't get water out of a rock..."

The water was so still

Now that looks like a comfortable bench

Cows seemed to roam freely

and horses too
Everything is built from logs, including the gas station

Goose Island; the most photograph island in the park

Jackson Pass ~ not as clear because of the wild fire smoke in the air

Look me and Dan ~ must be the wax!

Check out the stick ~ snow stick!  That's how high the snow gets

One lane tunnel !

Lunch

Do you see the mountain sheep?  to the right of rock in the middle of picture

Mini !!

Crazy roads Pam drove to see these amazing views

Fall is in the air

Different views when the sun is going down

Dan had to climb down the side of mountain to get this picture, beautiful!

I stayed in the car

Like I said, the cows

go anywhere they want

and they are not bothered
