Headed to the Pacific Ocean
First time to write in the sand :)
Would an Interior Designer like the outside of this house?
Interesting . . .
Dan's favorite !!
We were surprise how small the boats were on the water
Here's a "Jetty" like by Gma & Pops!
The bridge from South Beach to Newport over Yaquina Bay
This lighthouse was only open for 3 years
Beautiful view as we entered the Lighthouse Park
We were walking on the rim and all of a sudden we saw . . .
Our First Whale !!!!
His back !
His tale was just coming out of the water!
His back again
Seals!
Mommie and baby (big baby!)
Seals performed for us and we didn't have to feed them like at Sea World
Waving at us
The little white one at the back was smiling for me
And this one came up to say hi to Dan!
Straight Up wall of weird rock
Snail still in his shell
Mommie smiled at me too
Weird Rock face
Waves were crashing in
A nice little seal cove
One of the first lighthouses on the west coast
Dan took a tour, walking up to the top and taking a few pictures of the Pacific Ocean and Coastline
This is the light they kept lit every night for 121 years.
The light in the lighthouse
This is why I didn't tour the Lighthouse ;-)
Look : that's Pam at the "Y" in the sidewalk
These oil canisters hold enough oil for one year
Tools of the light keepers trade
Awww !!!!!
Lunch time !
We headed up the coast to Agate Beach
Whale spout and pelican
Unbelievable how close that little boat got to that whale!
More Whales ! We enjoyed watching them for over an hour!
Look for the poof
More poofs
Foamy waves
Shadows are getting long
Headed to South Beach for our first sunset on the Pacific Ocean
Jellyfish that got washed up on the beach
Another jellyfish
Beautiful color
Going . . . going . . .
gone
Bazaar trees in the South Beach Park; you could camp under these trees
...glad there wasn't anyone in there tonight
